Facelift (Rhytidectomy)
Overview / Procedure FAQs / Post-Operative Instructions
As we age, our skin loses its elasticity. It sags and wrinkles, the extent to which is determined by your genes, sun exposure, and stress, among other things. And when this happens, we can feel older.

But with the wrinkles of age, come both wisdom and confidence. Our patients come to us refusing to let the years slow them down. And they know they can take action, so that the world continues to see them as they see themselves—youthful, energetic, exuberant.

What surprises some of the women who come through our door is the fact that the youthful contours of your face and neck still exist beneath skin that has wrinkled and lost elasticity over time. A facelift will restore these contours by tightening the deep tissue of the face, then re-draping and smoothing the overlying skin.

During your initial consultation with your board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Tanya Atagi will evaluate your facial structure and skin, and determine whether attention to your face or neck alone may be all that you need to give you that refreshed and more youthful appearance.

Sometimes, a brow or forehead lift, upper and/or lower eyelid lifts, facial VASER Lipo®, injectable fillers (such as Sculptra®, Radiesse®, or Juvéderm), Botox, or implants may be recommended as potential adjuncts to optimize your results.

To learn more, please see our Frequently Asked Questions: Facelift or, for recovery, please see our Post-Operative Instructions.

You can look as young as you feel. Call Dr. Tanya Atagi at Atagi Plastic Surgery and Skin Aesthetics for a surgical consultation.

In Their Words:
I'm not interested in age. People who tell me their age are silly. You're as old
as you feel.
