You have more options than ever before for bringing out your best. Do you ever get confused about which treatments are right for you, or how treatments really work? Well, sit back and relax, because it’s our job (and pleasure) to help you understand your options and discover your optimal aesthetic plan.
To help you make an informed decision, here are the answers to some of the most common questions we get asked every day:
Can I get Botox® or dermal fillers after my BBL photofacial?
Yes! As long as you wait two weeks between your treatments, it’s safe to perform Botox after a BBL photofacial or any other laser skin treatment. If you are interested in receiving both injectables and laser skin rejuvenation, we can help you devise a treatment plan to achieve amazing results that last.
What’s the difference between Exilis™ or Ultherapy® for tightening skin?
Ultherapy is an FDA-cleared procedure that uses ultrasound energy to tighten skin and smooth wrinkles on the face, neck, and décolletage. Ultherapy is considered a one-and-done, no- downtime treatment that requires annual “maintenance” treatments. You may notice results within two to three months after treatment. Another effective non-surgical skin-tightening option is Exilis, which combines ultrasound and radiofrequency energy to tighten loose skin from head to toe, including the face, knees, thighs, arms, abdomen, back, bra-line, and more. Typically, four to six treatments are recommended, and results can be seen two to three months after the last treatment. Both choices are highly effective, and we will work with you to decide the optimal treatment plan for your needs.
What’s the difference between Juvéderm Voluma® XC and Sculptra®?
Both brands work to replenish lost volume, smooth wrinkles, and reveal a younger-looking appearance, but they use different ingredients and methods for accomplishing this purpose. Voluma is a dermal filler made with a synthetic form of hyaluronic acid (HA), which restores lost volume and smooths fine lines and wrinkles for months at a time. Depending on the dermal filler, you can achieve up to two years of rejuvenation. Sculptra stimulates collagen using poly-L-lactic acid to trigger collagen growth for long-lasting, natural-looking rejuvenation to the face. Sculptra is administered as a series of three treatments and acts gradually to reveal benefits four to six months after treatment. We often combine it with Voluma so patients can enjoy immediate benefits while Sculptra works its magic behind the scenes.
