Dr. Atagi originally pursued a bachelor’s degree in Product Design Engineering from Stanford University, where she developed a lifelong interest in technical innovation. Her fascination with art and fashion led her to pursue a second bachelor’s degree in Art Design. When she earned a patent for building a revolutionary medical device, she recognized that medicine was the ideal way to blend her varied and specialized passions. It is this unique combination of aesthetic and technical expertise that informs her methodology behind Atagi Plastic Surgery & Skin Aesthetics.
After completing medical school at Stanford, Dr. Atagi trained in Plastic Surgery at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University in St. Louis, followed by a specialized Aesthetic Fellowship in Denver. She is board-certified by the American Society of Plastic Surgery and has published papers on a range of topics including nerve regeneration, implantable medical devices, and breast enhancement and the safety of implants.
