Did you know that long before Dr. Atagi became a doctor, she was an artist?
In fact, Dr. Atagi’s early fascination and aptitude with things mechanical led her to begin her secondary education at Stanford University’s engineering department. While in pursuit of a BS in Product Design Engineering, Dr. Atagi’s early and ongoing passion for art and fashion led to a second BA in Art Design. In fact, after her time at Stanford, Dr. Atagi was accepted to the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan but turned to medical design instead.
While working as a biomedical engineer, Dr. Atagi earned a patent for an innovative medical device. And it was during this period that she realized that medicine would be a great way to integrate her diverse and specialized passions. Dr. Tanya Atagi’s embrace of science as a design form has culminated in a distinctive approach to the art and science of Plastic Surgery.
Her work in plastic surgery therefore combines an artist’s eye with advanced technical skills, a deep understanding of the human body, and a desire to make a positive impact on our patients’ lives.
Patients at Atagi Plastic Surgery & Atagi Skin Aesthetics have been delighted with Dr. Atagi’s approach, seeking balance, symmetry and an overall beautiful result to every procedure performed.
